He was acknowledged with Order of Canada for his dedication to helping others and giving back to the community. The Order of Canada, established in 1967, is awarded by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

It is one of the country’s highest civilian honours and recognizes outstanding achievement, service to the community and dedication to Canada. That’s exactly what happened to Sidney Crosby, the Canadian professional hockey player.

On October 30th 2019, Crosby was promoted from Member to Companion of the Order of Canada in a ceremony honouring him for his commitment to charitable and community activities. He is also known for his contributions towards growing the game of hockey across Canada and inspiring youth players.
